AIIMS MBBS exam will be conducted on 25th & 26th May 2019. AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science) is one of the famous institutes that offer medical courses to the candidates.             AIIMS MBBS Eligibility Criteria mandates candidates to have Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology in class 12th(passed/ appearing). Also, a candidate must be 17 years old on or before December 31, 2019, to apply for AIIMS MBBS

AIIMS Eligibility Criteria 2019 – Age 

  • Candidates must have attained an age of 17 years as on December 31, 2019 
  • Also, aspirants born on or after January 02, 2003 will not be eligible to apply for AIIMS MBBS 2019

AIIMS MBBS 2019 Eligibility Criteria – Academic Qualification

  • As mentioned earlier, students should have passed Class 12 under the 10+2 scheme/senior school certificate examination (CBSE) or Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination from a recognised University/Board from any state with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the main subject
  • Candidates who will be appearing for Class 10+2 board examination in the year 2019 are also eligible to apply for the medical entrance examination.
  • Candidates who have or are appearing at the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and expect to pass the examination with the qualifying percentile as mentioned below are eligible for the test, provided they have submitted the document of passing the qualifying examination with the required subjects and percentile
  • Aspirants who will possess the equivalent examination passing certificate as the eligible academic qualifying, she/he must furnish a certificate from the concerned Indian University/Association of Indian Universities to the effect that the examination passed by them is considered eligible equivalent to Class 12 under 10+2 scheme/immediate science examination

AIIMS MBBS 2019 Eligibility Criteria – Minimum marks secured

            The minimum aggregate of the marks secured in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology obtained in the qualifying examination for various categories are as follows:

  • General and OBC candidates – 60%
  • SC/ST candidates – 50%
  • PwD candidates - 45%

 

AIIMS MBBS Eligibility Criteria 2019 – Nationality 

            Candidates of Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Foreign Nationals are also eligible to apply for AIIMS MBBS.

AIIMS MBBS 2019 Eligibility Criteria for OCIs, NRIs and Foreign Nationals

For OCI and NRIs:

             The OCI registered under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955 and NRIs are also eligible to appear for the entrance test. The terms and conditions applicable to the Indian Nationals will also be applicable to these applicants. Candidates need to submit proof of registration as an OCI under Section 7A to b eligible for the test.

For Foreign Nationals: 

            Apart from the total seats, 7 seats are reserved for foreign nationals in AIIMS, New Delhi only. Such aspirants will be nominated by the Government of India and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their Immediate Science or an equivalent examination to be eligible for admission to MBBS course in AIIMS institute. For admission, foreign candidates need to contact the Indian Mission/Post abroad in their country and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi for the nomination. The admission to foreign nationals will not be granted on the basis of AIIMS MBBS scores.

AIIMS 2019 Application Process :

AIIMS 2019 Application Form Final Status is releasing on 28th January 2019. It is released through online mode only. AIIMS MBBS is organized every year on a national level. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi is the authority to conduct the entrance exam. AIIMS offers admission in MBBS courses in AIIMS affiliated institutions in India.

Candidates can fill up the AIIMS MBBS online application form only in the online mode. They have to go to the official website: aiimsexams.org, then click on “Academic Courses”, and then on “MBBS” to fill up the AIIMS online application form.

 Steps to fill up AIIMS application is listed below:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of AIIMS: aiimsexams.org
  • Step 2: Click on the tab Academic Courses and select MBBS.
  • Step 3: Now read the instructions and click on Proceed.
  • Step 4: AIIMS application form will be displayed and students are requested to enter the necessary details.
  • Step 5: After filling the details, click on the register button. Now you will receive your credentials through E-mail or SMS.
  • Step 6: Now click on “Proceed for Step 2“.
  • Step 7: Upload scanned images of your latest passport size photograph, signature, and left thumb impression.
  • Step 8: After basic registration is accepted, candidates can proceed to final registration.
  • Step 9: Choose your preferred city for the exam center.

AIIMS MBBS Syllabus 2019

            When it comes to covering AIIMS MBBS syllabus, especially the science section (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) which carries a total of 160 marks, a candidate must clear their basics with NCERT books. The syllabus of AIIMS MBBS 2019 is, for the most part, the CBSE syllabus of Class 11 and 12 and is similar to the NEET syllabus as prescribed by Medical Council of India (MCI). Unlike NEET UG, AIIMS MBBS contain two more sections General Knowledge and Aptitude & Logical Thinking. For the General Knowledge, aspirants must be aware of the current affairs while for Aptitude & Logical Thinking one should practice questions on daily basis. AIIMS, New Delhi is unlikely to reveal a detailed syllabus for AIIMS MBBS entrance exam. AIIMS MBBS 2019 Merit List :

            List of candidates, those qualify for counselling to MBBS programme will be published in form of AIIMS merit list. The marks/percentile scores of individual candidates will be available on the website.

            On the basis of AIIMS Result 2019, merit lists will be prepared. It is made for Common (UR), SC, ST, OBC category based on percentile scores.

Merit List Details:

AIIMS 2019 Merit List consists of following details such as:

In case the marks of two or more candidates will be equal, then the authority will follow the inter-se merit procedure to resolve the ties.
