KEAM 2018 is a state level entrance exam which is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala. KEAM 2018 exam will be conducted in various cities of the country. After clearing this exam, candidates can get admission in various streams of engineering courses. Previously this examination was conducted for admission in engineering, medical, agriculture & many other courses. From 2016 onwards, KEAM exam was organized for admission in engineering courses only. KEAM - Kerala Engineering-Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants have to check their eligibility criteria of the courses they are applying:

Nativity:

  • Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
  • Persons of Indian Origins (PIO) /Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) can also apply for the examination.
  • Students belong to Kerala state are categorized as Keralite, Non-Keralite category I and Non-Keralite Category II.


Age Eligibility:

  • Minimum Age: Candidates must complete their age of 17 years as or on 31st December of the year of admission.
  • Maximum Age: There is no upper age limit.


Qualification Eligibility:

  • Qualification: Candidates seeking admission in engineering courses must have passed 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board.
  • Percentage: Candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks in PCM subjects. It is necessary to score 50% marks in mathematics individually.
  • Appearing Candidates: Students appearing in the Higher Secondary examination are also eligible to apply.

  • KEAM Registration 2018 will be done by both online and offline mode.
  • Applicants can avail the application form from the first week of January 2018.
  • Applicants are advised to do not fill more than one application form.

Admit Card Information of KEAM 2018

  • For KEAM 2018, the admit card is a mandatory document for the candidates appearing for the entrance exam and the same will be made available to candidates who have registered online.
  • There is no offline mode to avail admit card for KEAM 2018.
  • The admit card for KEAM 2018 will be available after authority receives all applications from candidates.
  • The KEAM 2018 Admit Card will be issued only via online process through the official website of CEE. 
  • The date will be on 10th April 2018 for Admit Card availability.
  • To download the KEAM 2018 admit card, candidates will be required to enter their application number and date of birth.
  • Admit cards will not be sent by post to any candidate.

Candidates who are nominees of Govt. of India, U.T and other state. Candidates under nominees do not have to write entrance exam.

Person with Disability: In Government and Government aided institutions 3% seats are reserved for PwD candidates.

Special Reservation: It is done for certain categories in certain courses.

Defense Quota: This includes ex-service men, dependents of defense personnel, missing, disable, killed in action, serving defense personnel and CRPF candidates.

Counselling for KEAM 2018

  • All selected candidates need to login to the official site and check their counselling dates.
  • The selected candidates have to carry their original mark-sheets and certificates at the time of counselling. In case they fail to carry these, the admission will be cancelled.
  • Downloaded mark-sheets and scanned certificates are not allowed at the venue.
  • The counselling process will commence on 20th June 2018.


The mandatory documents that the candidates must carry to the counselling venue include:

The final seat allotment will be done via Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) through Single Window System (SWS).
