Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MUOET Engineering)-Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for different programmes are different. Check eligibility below:

For B.Tech:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have qualified 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: Pass the above exam with Mathematics, Physics & English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or any technical vocational subject.
  • Minimum Marks: Secure 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics & any one of the optional subjects.
  • Marks in Entrance Exam: Candidates have to obtain minimum 50% marks in MU OET exam.
  • Age Limit: No minimum age limit.

For B.Tech Lateral Entry:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates have to pass 3 years Diploma in Engineering & 10+2 examinations from a recognized university.
  • Subjects: Qualify the 10+2 exam with Mathematics as a main subject.
  • Minimum Marks: Score at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Age Limit: No minimum age limit.

For M.Tech:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates have to clear their BE/B.Tech or AMIE or equivalent exam from a recognized university.
  • Minimum Marks: Pass the above exam with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Marks in Entrance Exam: Candidates must secure minimum 50% marks in MU OET exam.
  • Age Limit: There is no minimum age limit to apply.

For BBA:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates have to pass 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates must qualify the above examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Age Limit: No minimum age limit.

MU OET Application Form:

Candidates can apply via online mode only for MU OET. Online Application form can be downloaded from the website of Manipal UniversityThere are 5 steps involved in filling the application form. The instructions are specified by the Manipal University. The eligible candidate has to fill in their personal information, contact details, qualification details, programs and fee payment, and confirmation.

The instructions to fill the application form for MU OET 2018 are mentioned below:

STEP 1Personal Information

Candidates have to provide their personal info such as

  • Name of the candidate
  • gender of the candidate
  • Email Address.

  • Date of Birth
  • Stream

  • City etc.

After successfully filling the registration form of MU OET 2018, the candidate will receive an application number and a password which will be generated and later on mailed to the candidate's email address. Using the same, the candidates must login onto the official website.

STEP 2: Contact Details

After logging in, the candidates will have to enter their contact details such as:

  • state
  • pin code
  • mobile number of the eligible candidate

STEP 3: Qualification Details

Candidates will enter their educational qualifications such as:

The eligible candidates are required to upload the scanned copies of their signature and photograph in the specified format. Finally, they must click on I AGREE to finish this step and move on to the next one.

STEP 4: Programs and Fee Payment

The eligible candidates have to enter the course they wish to pursue, and other personal information if asked. The candidates have to choose 2 test centers among the various options given for test center for the MU OET 2018 exam.

Candidates can pay the application fees via Credit/ Debit card, Net Banking or DD. The fee details are mentioned above.

STEP 5: Confirmation

Exam Pattern for B.Tech:

  • Mode of Exam: The exam will be organized through online mode.
  • Duration: The duration of the exam will be two hours thirty minutes (2 hrs 30 mins).

MU OET 2018 Admit Card:

The eligible students can get their admit card online on the website used to register for the exam. The eligible student has to log in the website using the email address and password provided. The student eligible to write MU OET 2018 will get their admit card in April 2018.

  • The admit card has your e-hall ticket number, the course you have applied for, address of the test center, and slot of your test.
  • The system will generate the e-hall ticket/ admit card 24 hours after you have booked your slot via the online test booking system to write MU OET.
  • The admit card issued to candidates who book their slots using the online test booking system before the last date for various courses as per the booking schedule for MU OET.
  • You can download your e-hall ticket/ admit card for MU OET from the official website of Manipal University.
  • To do that you have to specify your application form number and online test booking password.
  • A copy of your e-hall ticket/ admit card will be emailed to you.

How to download the MU OET admit card:

  • Go to the official website for MU OET.
  • Click on the link provided to download the admit card.

MU OET 2018 Counselling:

The MU OET 2018 counselling procedure will start from the first week of June, 2018. Applicants are required to select the venue at the time of exam slot booking.
