RRB Group D Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

A. Age Limit (as on 01.07.2018)
Minimum Age – 18 years
Maximum Age – 31 years

Age Relaxation
SC/ST – 5 years
OBC – 3 years
PwD – 10 years

B. Educational Qualification
You should be 10th Pass or ITI from Institution recognised by NCVT / SCVT or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

OR

You should be 10th Pass plus National Apprenticeship (NAC) granted by NCVT or 10th Pass plus ITI  from Institution recognised by NCVT / SCVT.

C. Medical standards
You need to have a Distance vision of 6/9, 6/12, 6/18 according to the post you are applying for.
You need to be generally fit in all physical aspects in order to carry out your duties efficiently.

RRB Group D-Exam Pattern

Railway Group D Exam Pattern
The RRC Group D selection will be based on 3 stages as follows:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  3. Document Verification

1. Computer Based Test

The CBT will be the first stage of selection that will be based on the following pattern:

General Awareness on Current Affairs

2. Physical Efficiency Test

Once you qualify the Computer-based Test, then you will be called the Physical Efficiency. Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and it will be qualifying in nature. Twice the number of community-wise vacancies will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test.

Male Candidates

  • You should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down.
  • You should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.

Female Candidates

  • You should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down.
  • You should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.

3. Document Verification

  • Based on your performance in the CBT subject to your qualifying in PET, you will be called for document verification.
  • Thereafter, the final selection will be made.

RRB Group D Application Form 2018 and official notification has been released on 10th February. Candidates who are eligible as per the above mentioned details are able to apply online for Railway Group D 2018 Recruitment (CEN 02/2018).
